Earth Day Santa Cruz 2014

MY Museum Hosts 10th Annual My ParTEA Benefit

MONTEREY, Calif. – It is time again for one of Monterey’s most-anticipated spring events!  On Sunday, May 4th, MY Museum is holding its 10th Annual “MY ParTea” event at Tehama in Carmel from 1:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m.  This event features an afternoon tea and seated luncheon, a unique children’s fashion show, amazing silent auction and a raffle which will include an iPad, American Girl Doll, Travel Package and much more.
Over 50 local children ages 12 months to 14 years of age will model in the fashion show sponsored by the Heaven and Starchild, two very unique children's boutiques in Carmel that specialize in the best collections of clothing & accessories from around the world.

24th Annual Omega Nu Ducky Derby

The countdown is on for the 24th Annual Omega Nu Ducky Derby at Harvey West Park in Santa Cruz on Saturday, April 26th from 10:30am - 3:30pm.  The event is a fun-filled day of activities for children and adults, with exciting rubber duck races to be held throughout the day. In addition there will be food, carnival games, live music and local entertainment.

The highlight of the day's festivities will be the racing of 12,000 rubber ducks down a man made waterway. The races will be run in several heats and the day will culminate with the announcement of many winners. There are more than 100 fabulous prizes to be won including gift certificates from many local businesses.

The Ducky Derby raises funds for a number of Santa Cruz area non-profit organizations including local high schools, Cabrillo College and SCSC student scholarships. 

Double D Road Race

It's not one, but two races in one!  The Double D Racing is coming to Pacific Grove on May 11, 2014 and now is our chance to sign up to run.  The Double Road Race®  was created by running visionary and Runner's World magazine founder Bob Anderson.  This new sport and new challenge with its strategic endurance twist is unique to the running world.  It's a 10K followed by a 5K with a break in between featuring the Recovery Zone.  It's the only running event with a halftime.  Read more.
